All Saints Catholic Church is the second oldest Catholic Church in Fort Worth. Established in 1902, twelve families celebrated the first mass in a private home on Rusk Street, now North Commerce Street.
Fort Worth was established in 1849 as an Army outpost. It became a destination for cattle drovers as they pushed through an estimated 4 million head of cattle between 1866 to 1890. In 1876, the Texas & Pacific Railroad arrived, and with it, meat packing plants began to establish themselves in the North Side neighborhoods around the tourist stop we know as “The Stockyards”.
In 1903, the first house of worship was established in North Side and took the name All Saints Catholic Church. In 1955, it merged with San Jose Catholic Church and became a bilingual, bicultural parish, celebrating mass in English and Spanish.
It also serves as the home parish for All Saints Catholic School, established in 1905 as All Saints Academy, and later named Mount Carmel Academy.
All Saints Catholic Church continues to serve the North Side neighborhood, and is home to many generations of North Side residents, who attended school and received their sacraments here. Although some have moved out of the immediate area, they continue to make All Saints their home.
We welcome you to come worship with us and make All Saints your home!
